Your second brain for trading.
Monitors every trade. Backtests and forward tests your performance. Tracks every fee. Runs on your machine for your eyes only.
Untracked trades are lessons you'll never learn from.
90% of traders don't track their trades. The ones who do are wrestling trade reports into spreadsheets every night, and matching fills by hand. We handle it for you — auto-import from DAS, or log trades manually in seconds. Every fill, every fee, every setup, organized and searchable.

Built with intent.
Seven panels, each designed for a single job.
How It Works
From raw data to trading intelligence
Drop in your broker's export. Get a platform that knows what every fee cost you.
Auto upload or drop your file
Auto-import via the built-in DAS auto-downloader, or drag & drop your DAS Trader exports.
Match your trades
Entries and exits paired automatically. Fees calculated.
See your edge
Every new trade flows through to the dashboard instantly. Win rate, profit factor, fee breakdown, and equity curve all recalculate in real time.
Trade Cockpit
Open the cockpit. Trade the plan.
The worst trades you'll take this year will happen when you're alone with your screen. Buying the top because it's moving. Adding to a loser to prove you're right. Sizing up because the last three worked.
The Cockpit does the math you'd never do mid-trade. Live fundamentals. Multi-broker margin. Plan validation. So the decision isn't what your gut says. It's what the data says.
- Plan Validator — guardrails before the open
- Live Stock Health — Yahoo + dilution signals
- Exit Strategy Ladder — multi-leg, blended price
- Margin Call Risk — FINRA 4210, per broker
- Buying Power — color-coded, live
- Next-Day Position Planner — DAS hot keys ready
System trader's best friend
One ticker. Many patterns. Each tracked.
Run multiple systems on the same stock. Allocate shares across patterns. Watch each one's P&L tick separately. No other journal does this.
Each pattern's win rate, fees, and edge — accounted for individually.
Trade multiple systems on one fill. Reflect on them separately.

The trade ends.
The journal entry rarely begins.
By the time the trade closes, you're already in the next setup, and the lesson never gets logged. Smart Categorizer hands you five questions and a typing cursor. Done in a few clicks. Filed forever.
And when one trade was actually two setups stacked, split the shares across patterns on entry, on exit, or both. Each allocation gets its own five fields and its own fills.
Five guided questions. One trade at a time. The lesson actually sticks, because you wrote it down before you forgot what you saw.
(yes, you still have to write it. but you're the one who lived through it. you saw the setup, you felt the conviction, you moved with the tape. nobody else can tell that story.)
Margin Call Risk
Know your margin call. Per broker.
FINRA Rule 4210 calculated per-broker, with house-specific overrides. See the trigger price for each before the call arrives.
- →Shorts <$5: $2.50/share or 100% market value
- →Shorts ≥$5: $5.00/share or 30% market value
- →Longs: 25% market value
Editable per broker — Cobra's $3.00 floor for micro-caps, IB's house tightening, etc.
- Multi-broker share allocation, live-priced
- Trigger price updated as you change size
- Color-coded SAFE / TIGHT / CALL RISK
- House-specific broker profile overrides
Analytics
118 metrics. Most of them you've never looked at.
Top wins. Weakest setups. Fee leakage. Dilution traps. The numbers that actually move your equity curve.
Fee precision
Every fee. Tracked to the share.
Nine fee categories itemized per trade. Per-pattern borrow attribution. Even the locate fees on shares you never used.
Pattern-level borrow attribution. T+1 settlement-aware overnight. Per-broker formats normalized.

We know what's missing from your current setup because we lived without it too.
Your trades. Your data. Your machine.
Most journals upload your strategies to the cloud. We think that's insane. Your edge stays on your desktop, encrypted, and we couldn't see it even if we wanted to.
100% Local Storage
SQLite database in your AppData folder. Not a server. Not a 'synced backup.' Yours.
AES-256 Encryption
Sensitive data sealed with military-grade AES-256-GCM, hardware-bound to your machine.
Owner-Only Access
No admin panel. No support backdoor. No analytics. We literally can't see your edge.
Two Promises
What we always do. What we never will.
The product changes because traders use it.
Every feature that ships started as something a member asked for. Every change to the dashboard came from real feedback. You're not using a product designed for an imagined user.
(real one-on-one. with the team building this. not a “support specialist.”)
We never see your trades.
Nothing leaves your computer. No usage tracking, no strategy analytics, no data sold to anyone for any reason.
Your edge stays yours because the software was designed that way, not because we said it would.
(alpha members only)
The build queue is open to Alpha members.
Most products run on a voting board and a backlog you'll never hear back from. We run on calls. Alphamembers get a 1:1 with the team to walk through what's missing, and the requests that make sense get built.
There's never been a better time to upgrade.
Tell us how you journal today:
Five minutes from now, your first trade is journaled. No setup wizard from hell.
You're leaving money on the table.
Profitable traders journal religiously. They find the 1–2 setups that actually pay — and stop trading the 47 ideas that don't. Without a journal, you can't tell the difference.
Find your one good setup.
Auto-tag winners. Rank patterns by P&L. Keep what works, delete what doesn't.
Discipline, automatic.
The habits that matter, built in by default.
The trade you keep retaking.
Until it's written down, your brain forgets. Smart Categorizer makes sure it doesn't.
(the team)
Seven years. Many systems. A few that worked.
We've been trading together a long time now. Pattern after pattern, system after system: built, back-tested, validated, run live, scrapped. Some made money. Most didn't. Each one taught us how to ask the next question.
We've had losing months. Plural. The thing that got us through them was the statistics: following the system when our gut said abandon it, sitting through the drawdowns the math said were normal.
Markets change. Systems we believed in stop working. We let them go. We learn from each other's strengths and each other's broken trades. Trade Cortex is what fell out of that: the workstation we wished we'd had seven years ago.
Built by traders.
For traders.
We built this for ourselves first. Years of losing money didn't teach us much on their own. What taught us was sitting with the same losing trades over and over until we admitted the problem was us, not the strategy. Journaling pulled us out: losing → breakeven → profitable. Slowly. Not in a straight line.
This isn't really a journal anymore. It's the trading copilot, the trading assistant, we wished we'd had seven years ago. Now it's sitting next to you.

“Found out I was leaking $1,800/month on borrow fees I never tracked. The fee donut alone paid for the journal in the first week.”
“I quit journaling three years ago when TraderSync got too expensive. This brought me back. The daily P&L calendar is brutal in the best way.”
“I knew Friday borrows hurt. I didn't know they cost me 12% of my monthly P&L until I saw the chart. Game over for that mistake.”
“Smart Categorizer is the only journal I've actually finished. Five fields, done in 90 seconds. My spreadsheet days are over.”
“The pattern tagging hooked me. After three months I knew my best setup wasn't the one I thought it was. Cut everything else.”
“Local SQLite was non-negotiable. I'm not putting 11 years of trades on someone else's cloud. First journal that respected that.”
“Switched brokers six months in. The DAS auto-import made the migration painless. Imported 4 months of history in under a minute.”
“I held a short over Friday for years not knowing the borrow math. My tax accountant cried. Now the journal flags it pre-trade.”

“Trade Copilot caught a margin-call distance warning I missed. Saved my account from a forced liquidation that morning. Worth every cent.”
“I rotate between markets and wanted ONE journal for both. Imported equity trades in two minutes. Asked for crypto next — it's coming.”
“The walk-forward validation found that 3 of my 8 'profitable' setups were actually random. That alone justified the year-one license.”
“First journal that handles CMEG exports cleanly. Everyone else made me hand-format CSVs. This auto-matched 6 months of fills first try.”
“Twelve years of trades. SQLite searches them in 50ms. My old TradeJournal took 6 seconds. Compounding speed, every single day.”
“I always 'meant to' journal. With Smart Categorizer prompting me through 5 fields, I actually do it. Daily. For the first time ever.”
“Privacy was the hook. SQLite on my drive, AES-256, no analytics on my trades. Finally — a journal that can't look at my edge.”
“The Top Wins / Top Losses card showed me my worst loss was 4× my biggest win. That's not a journal — that's a wake-up call.”
