How to grow the best Carrot? successfully.

  • Loose, well-draining soil: Carrots grow best in loose, sandy soil that is free of rocks and debris. This helps prevent the roots from becoming deformed.
  • Slightly acidic soil with a pH between 6 and 6.81 is ideal.
  • Add compost or well-rotted manure a few weeks before planting.
  • Timing: Plant carrot seeds in early spring or late summer for fall harvest.
  • Sowing: Sow seeds about 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart in rows 12-18 inches apart.
  • Thin them to 3 inches to give each carrot enough room to grow.

  • Constant moisture: keep the soil constantly moist, especially during the germination period, which can take 10-21 days.
  • Tips – Use mulch to retain moisture and keep the soil cool
  • Use low nitrogen fertilizers
  • Timing: Carrots are usually ready to harvest 65-75 days after planting. The top should be about 12 inches tall, and the roots should be about an inch in diameter.
  • Harvesting: loosen the soil and pull out the carrots.
  • Short Term: Store unpeeled carrots in a sealed bag in the refrigerator.
  • Long-term: Keep in a cool, dark place, such as a root pot
